World Book Day

World Book Day on 2nd March saw schools round the country holding events themed around stories, with people dressing up as much-loved characters and books written by a wide range of great authors like Jacqueline Wilson and David Almond just for this event.

Check out our World Book Day video from 2016, made by staff and students from TEN Group academies across Norfolk, ‘It’s All About the Books’ (a parody of ‘It’s All About the Bass’).

Last year for World Book Day, we featured a selection of books about heroes and villains, and wrote about the 2014 list ‘Writes of Passage‘, where young adults were asked about the books that had the largest impact on their lives and changed how they thought. We have some great suggestions for books that could inspire a costume or just make you see the world a little differently!
